Stacey is the owner and clinical director of Chugach Counseling. She is an EMDRIA Certified EMDR therapist & Consultant as well as the current acting president of the Alaska EMDR Network non-profit. She has been dedicated to helping adolescents and adults for the past 19 years and as a clinician for the past 11 years. She specializes in working with teens 16+, young adults, and adults. She works on issues such as anxiety, dissociation, depression, grief, anger, complex trauma, and relationship struggles. Stacey is passionate about serving first responders and the military community.
Stacey focuses on improving your window of tolerance to help navigate and improve relationships, make sense of past life events, reduce conflict, and develop a focused and more open mind. She believes in connecting how emotions, thoughts, and behaviors all influence one another.
She utilizes evidence-based, empirically validated, and Trauma-informed practices.

Formerly she worked with adolescents in an inpatient setting as the directing clinician of an adolescent residential treatment center for Alaska Native teens. In the lower 48 she worked as a crisis clinician responding to children, teens, and adults struggling with suicide, substance use, and psychiatric emergencies. She chose to devote her full focus to outpatient private practice therapy in 2017.
Stacey was born and raised in the lower 48. After offered an opportunity via the Military, Alaska became home in 2016. In her free time, she enjoys hiking as many mountains as she can with her dogs, riding her horse Bandit, fat tire biking, and skiing.
